2020 Year End Update
First of all, the weather was AMAZING. That made this year pretty exceptional. The combination of rain every few days, followed by nice sunny days took the honey harvest to the next level. That combination offers a spectacular combination of plant growth, which in turn allows the honey bees to bring back pollen.
This means honey. LOTS of honey.
Each stainless steel container holds 4 GALLONS of honey, and this isn’t all of it!
To sum it up, White Clay Honey had a banner year for honey. So much that we had to purchase a bunch of new stainless steel containers in order to store the honey properly. We estimate that each hive yielded over 125lbs of honey.
